Welcome
Theta Tau is the nation's oldest and largest professional fraternity in the field of engineering. The national fraternity was established in 1904 at the University of Minnesota and has been steadily growing ever since. We now have over 45 active national chapters. From slide rules to TI-92's, Theta Tau is steeped in tradition and helps students meet the ever-changing challenge to the modern engineer.
The Chi Beta Chapter was established in 1991 at the University of Toledo. As a co-ed fraternity, we acccept all members of the engineering and engineering technology field.
2008 Schrader Award Winner
The Chi Beta Chapter is the proud recipient of the 2008 Erich J. Schrader Award. This biennial award is based on exceptional chapter
participation in the categories of professional development, brotherhood, and community service. This is the second time Chi Beta has brought the award to Toledo. The first was in 2000.
Our Purpose
The purpose of Theta Tau is to develop and maintain a high standard of professional interest among its members, and to unite them in a strong bond of fraternal fellowship.
